With Labor Day less than a week ahead, Department of Labor Secretary Hilda S. Solis, described as "America's Job Counselor," will be hosting an online discussion of employment (and retirement) issues at 2 p.m. EDT on Thursday, Aug. 30.

Solis will appear on Twitter, with a hope of fielding questions from future employees – high school students and college enrollees – to provide more clarity about entering the workforce, finding job training programs and identifying the best careers of the future.

The chat is open to everyone, however, and people can join the conversation by using the Twitter hashtag #LaborDay2012 or by tweeing questions in advance to @HildaSolisDOL.
