If you're going to go digital for medical information, try using a health website.

Both doctors and nurses say they trust health websites over any other medical reference, according to a recent survey conducted by digital health communications firm Enspektos. Most doctors, nurses and pharmacists surveyed (about 85 percent of each group) all said they look at health websites for information frequently.

Doctors (at 78 percent) are most trusting of the sites than nurses (69 percent).

Physicians are also overwhelmingly more likely to trust medical information in mobile apps than nurses are; 70 percent of docs say they find mobile apps credible while only 46 percent of nurses do.

Pharmacists surveyed also said they trust medical websites the most (71 percent) while 61 percent of them trust mobile apps.

Both physicians and nurses do not see social networks and Twitter as creditable sources, the survey found.
