MassMutual's Retirement Services Division and its clients came out as the biggest winners during the Plan Sponsor Council of America's Signature Awards, handed out Wednesday at the PSCA's annual conference.
MassMutual and its clients earned 11 awards for sponsor and participant communications in various corporate, union and nonprofit DC plans, as well as for participant and plan sponsor tools and communication programs – including the RetireSmart national campaign and an associated online game.
"The Signature Awards represent the 'best of the best' in defined contribution plan communication and education," said David Wray, president of the PSCA. "MassMutual's outstanding showing this year demonstrates true commitment to helping every American understand the importance of planning and saving for retirement. These retirement plan sponsors, together with providers like MassMutual, are best-practice examples of how an effective education strategy can really make a difference when implemented effectively."
