The National Association of Plan Advisors (NAPA) and The American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA) have launched a new Web portal to inform and connect retirement plan advisors.
NAPA Net will provide plan advisors a portal with which they can access and share news, commentary, interactive forums, research and webcasts. The website will feature a series of channels including regulatory compliance, practice management, service providers, social media, strategic partnerships and a variety of investment topics.
The site will produce a daily e-newsletter looking at what is new in the 401(k) marketplace.

"Each channel represents a pillar of the retirement plan marketplace," said Fred Barstein, NAPA Net editor in chief. "Retirement plan advisors will find their niche in terms of both information and networking so they can stay abreast of industry topics and trends while tending to their own practices."
NAPA was formed in 2011 as an affiliate organization of ASPPA to give retirement plan advisors a voice in Washington, D.C. Since its launch, the organization has grown to more than 3,750 members and 67 founding partners that include financial institutions, broker dealers and registered investment advisor firms.
"There's been an outpouring of support from both the companies and individual advisors for this endeavor," said Marcy Supovitz, NAPA president and a principal at Boulay Donnelly & Supovitz Consulting Group, Inc. "The creation of a portal of this scope— specifically for plan advisors— is long overdue."
NAPA Net will also feature a professional directory including advisors, third party administrators, and other service providers.
