Higher education jobs outpacing overall growth

More jobs in the higher education sector became available during the third quarter of 2012 as this sector outpaces growth of overall U.S. jobs.

More jobs in the higher education sector became available during the third quarter of 2012 as this sector is outpacing growth of overall U.S. jobs, according to a new report from HigherEdJobs, a source for jobs and career information in academia.

The report also finds that the market share of higher education jobs in comparison to all U.S. jobs rose but only at an incremental rate in the third quarter. This growth has been apparent for several years. Job advertisements in higher education increased at a moderate pace in the third quarter of 2012, as well.
