Finance & Commerce named Vicki Bailey, head of investment law and securities compliance at Advantus Capital Management, to its annual list of Top Women in Finance in the Twin Cities. She is the fourth Advantus executive to be named to the list.

Bailey joined Advantus in 1985. The legal department is responsible for legal due diligence for every nonpublic Advantus transaction. "When someone in her job does it well, there are no negative headlines and lawsuits," said Advantus Executive Vice President Dave Kuplic, and Bailey's manager. "We have a great compliance record." Bailey received her bachelor's degree from St. Olaf College, her JD, magna cum laude, from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, MN and earned an MBA from the University of St. Thomas. She holds the Certified Investment Advisor and Compliance Specialist designations.
