To strengthen its online health benefits selection process for its 1,800 U.S. covered employees, Los Angeles-based Anschutz Entertainment Group has selected Benefitfocus to help it to simplify and clarify Anschutz' benefits education materials.

South Carolina-based Benefitfocus offers cloud-based software solutions that interface with company benefits software "to facilitate compliance and simplify the regulatory complexities associated with benefits administration and employee communication," Benefitfocus said.

Its HR InTouch will give Anschutz the ability to configure enrollment workflows and enforce business rules to educate workers located across the U.S. about their benefits plan choices. HR InTouch is described by Benefitfocus as "responsive to the requirements" of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

The software will enable Anschutz to "synchronize enrollment elections with AEG's insurance providers as well as its payroll system, allowing the company to manage all their benefits-related information in the cloud while reducing administrative tasks and improving the accuracy of their data," Benefitfocus said.

Anschutz is a diversified entertainment employing some 26,000 people globally.
