The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services today issued an update on its balky HealthCare.gov enrollment but once again declined to offer actual numbers.
CMS officials have said only that about 350,000 users have completed the process of determining whether they're even eligible for Medicaid or for Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act subsidies.
Julie Battaille, a CMS spokeswoman, took some time to sidestep a question about why CMS had taken a much-discussed photo of Adrian, off its site over the weekend, but, in response to a question about HealthCare.gov activity, she said only that consumers have submitted about 700,000 applications for coverage through all state and federal exchange systems.
