The Self-Insurance Institute of America announced Tuesday it has expanded its government relations team.
Adam Brackemyre was named to the newly created position of director of state government relations. In his role, Brackemyre will be responsible for coordinating the association's lobbying activities at the state level and will represent SIIA's interests before the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, the National Council of Insurance Legislators and other organizations. He will be based in Washington, D.C.
Brackemyre's background includes four years with the National Association of Health Underwriters, where his responsibilities included both federal and state government relations.
