Better — but not by much.

That's the feedback Americans have for the administration on how its exchange rollout is going.

Overall, two-thirds of Americans still don't believe the implementation of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act's exchanges is going well, according to a new Associated Press-GfK poll.

Of those who've tried to sign up for health coverage under the exchanges, or who live with someone who has, 71 percent have run into problems.

Though negative perceptions of the law's rollout have dropped since December (from 75 percent to 66 percent) — still only 4 percent said things were going "extremely well."

After continuous problems plaguing HealthCare.gov, the administration has said the federal exchange site is now working much more smoothly. The poll found that despite encountering problems, more people — 40 percent — now report they've had success signing up for coverage, compared to only 24 percent who said they had success last month.

The latest Associated Press-GfK poll comes on the heels of other unimpressive PPACA findings. A survey out last week from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the Urban Institute found that less than 40 percent of the uninsured population will get health insurance this year. And a Bankrate.com report Monday found that 55 percent of Americans still don't know that the deadline to sign up for health insurance under PPACA is March 31. Bankrate also found that many Americans aren't taking the deadline to sign up for Obamacare seriously: 62 percent of Americans think the government will push the deadline back.

About three months are left until open enrollment closes March 31. Uninsured people who don't enroll by then will face a tax penalty under the law and be forced to wait until next year.

Last week, the Department of Health and Human Services announced 3 million people so far have signed up for private insurance through the federal exchange.
