FreeERISA, a 5500 database for retirement and benefits professionals, has released a newly redesigned plan dashboard and research tools. The improvements were designed to make it even easier for users to find a plan and highlights the most important plan data.
The channel, part of benefitspro.com, provides free access to all form 5500s released by the Department of Labor over the past two years, which include data on retirement, health, life, and other benefit plans from more than 1 million U.S. companies.
The souped-up product now offers a clean, graphic-rich display which enables users to determine if a plan is a viable prospect without having to wade through dense data. The new dashboard now includes plan strength indicators from sister company Judy Diamond Associates, which can help users pinpoint premium lead generation ideas.

While Retirement Plan Prospector is not in FreeERISA, some information that is included in that JDA database has been incorporated into FreeERISA. That information includes: (1) information about the plan scores that are shown in Prospector and (2) information about the number of red flags that are shown in Prospector.
The site now will also provide links to relevant news stories appearing alongside dashboard data. The 5500 data tool still offers simple search and the ability to quickly review any plan's form 5500.
FreeERISA will be working with this site, benefitspro.com, in coming months to add features to better serve the retirement and benefits community.
