Some lawmakers say colleagues who back implementing the Patient Protection and Affordable Care in Illinois should trade in their current health coverage for PPACA exchange plan coverage.

Elected officials should “live by the same set of rules that they impose upon those they claim to represent” according Rep. Darlene Senger, R-Naperville, Ill., and the four other lead sponsors.

Senger and colleagues have built that sentiment into House Joint Resolution 0093. The resolution is now insurance in the Assembly Insurance Committee.
