Nearly 10 million people have signed up for PPACA coverage this enrollment season, making the administration’s goal of paid enrollees more achievable as enrollment closing nears.

Health and Human Services Secretary Sylvia Burwell said Wednesday that 9.9 million have enrolled or renewed coverage on the state and exchange exchanges. The figure includes 7.5 million people on the federal exchange and 2.4 million on the state exchanges.

Burwell touted the latest enrollment figures during a Senate Finance Committee hearing, The Hill reported.
