Medicare Advantage beneficiaries are slightly more satisfied when asked about specific provisions in their plan. For example, 80 percent of MA enrollees say they are satisfied with "costs," compared with 68 percent of traditional Medicare recipients. Nearly 90 percent of those with MA are happy with preventive coverage care, compared to 75 percent with a traditional plan.

Among the other key findings:

Eighty-one percent of Medicare Advantage recipients are satisfied with their prescription drug coverage, compared to 54 percent of those with traditional plans.

• Low-income seniors with MA (69 percent) are more satisfied with out-of-pocket costs than those with traditional Medicare plans (63 percent).
• The top reason behind male seniors choosing Medicare Advantage is overall cost (19 percent), while female seniors are split between overall cost (16 percent) and simplification of the overall health-care process (15 percent).
• Seniors' issues, such as Medicare and Social Security, beat out economic and security issues as the top issue set on seniors' minds when casting their vote for federal office. 

Morning Consult surveyed 3,975 seniors on traditional Medicare or Medicare Advantage plans between March 23-26.
