As crazy as it sounds now, rumor has it that in 1902, the commissioner of the Patent and Trademark office recommended that the office be closed. His reason? He was pretty sure that anything that could be invented had already been invented. Truth or fable, it makes you think twice about innovation and change.

And as much as we are all aware of change and know on a certain level that it’s inevitable, we often fall into a trap of not truly appreciating how much different tomorrow will actually be, especially when it comes to the boundaries of our businesses.
