Millennials short on savings

Ironically, 34 percent of millennials say they feel hopeful when they review their retirement savings account balances.

Millennials are coming up short when it comes to retirement savings; in fact, according to a new survey, they’re pretty clueless about finances.

The annual Retirement Readiness survey, conducted in March by Harris Poll for digital advice firm Personal Capital, found that not only do 40 percent of millennials lack even a single retirement savings account, 73 percent have no idea of their own net worth.
