While some major insurers continue to raise questions about whether they can make money selling coverage via the Obamacare exchanges, large hospital systems say they are reaping the benefits of increased health coverage.

As reported by Forbes, two major hospital system operators reported strong surges in hospital admissions this year compared to last. And last year's numbers were higher than in past years.

Tenet and HCA Holdings held quarterly conference calls with analysts recently, and each said Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) member admissions were up impressively over the previous year's numbers.
