When it comes to a career, it's not all about the money. There's the value of the work itself, the environment in which you work, and of course the benefits that come with the paycheck. But the money is still important. How important? LendEDU surveyed 1,238 workers to find out what they'd be willing to give up in exchange for an immediate 10 percent raise. Would they give up the right to vote? What about their kids' right to vote? Health insurance? It seems a 10 percent raise would go a long way in reducing people's vices, from alcohol and caffeine to social media and Game of Thrones (88.61 percent would give it up). But they'd also be willing to give up some good things, too, including exercise (55.9 percent) and dental care (40.06 percent). And while people are more willing to give up health insurance and even the right to vote, they're not willing to give up their vacation days. In fact, the only things they're less willing to do for a raise are break up with their significant other (12.2 percent) and eat a Tide pod (5.33 percent).   Take a look at the slideshow above to see a few of the other things people would give up.
