What’s the good news, ladies? Who’s thankful?
I was very lucky to get to be in Austin for the WIFS National Conference this year, where I got to meet Katherine and Holly. Both women are incredible in their own right, and both women are taking on new roles in our industry and working tirelessly to make an impact in their communities and abroad.
It’s hard to believe it’s almost Thanksgiving! I was very lucky to get to be in Austin for the WIFS National Conference this year, where I got to meet Katherine and Holly. Both women are incredible in their own right, and both women are taking on new roles in our industry and working tirelessly to make an impact in their communities and abroad. I’m excited to introduce you all to them this month and I’m sure after having a glimpse into their lives, you’ll be thankful I did. Katherine Kimball, Kimball Financial
When I decided to leave corporate America and join my father in business, it was out of a desire to positively influence the lives in my community, both through retirement planning and the philanthropic opportunities that came along with my involvement in the industry.
My career goal has always been to protect my clients so that when and if an obstacle arises in their lives, their lifestyle does not change. My biggest accomplishment in this regard came when I was referred to a gentleman with Parkinson’s Disease. By the time I came to know my client, he had already advanced into his disease and was hoping to find a way to make his money last through the long-term care he would need in the years to come. After years of providing for his family, my client was left with a modest pension. Finding contracts for a plan can be difficult when a client has a pre-existing condition; however I was able to find such a contract and present the client and his family with a finalized plan. I am proud to say that this plan has been implemented, and that my client continues to have the funds necessary to facilitate his care and lifestyle. “
