Advisors might be as popular as dieting coaches: Allianz Life
Participants were asked which professionals they'd most like to see in 2019, if they had free access.
The good news is, U.S. consumers may be taking wellness more seriously.
The bad news: Advisors might be competing for consumers’ attention with people who have a strong opinion about whether spaghetti is suitable for people who need to lose weight.
The consumer insights team at Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America has included data hinting at that possibility in a summary of results from a recent online survey of 1,278 U.S. residents ages 18 and older.
One of the questions was about which professionals the participants would most like to see in 2019, if they had free access to those professionals. Participants could identify two types of professionals they most wanted to see.
Financial professionals were at the top: 43% of the participants said they would like to talk to financial professionals.
But financial professionals also tied for first with nutritionists, with 43% of the participants interested in getting professional help with diet.
Here are the “want to see” ratings for three other types of professionals:
- Personal trainers: 35%.
- Lawyers: 31%.
- Therapists: 30%.
