Here’s recent news about employee benefits products that crossed our inbox. It includes new or enhanced products in such diverse areas as retirement plans, fitness and wellness, harassment prevention, health savings accounts, and more. Take a look:

Zestful has launched with $1.1 million in funding from Bessemer Venture Partners, Day One Ventures, Matchstick Ventures, and Shrug Capital. It is a perks solution that eliminates the reimbursement process, while letting employers customize which specific products an employee can spend their perk allowance on. The Zestful Perk Card, which looks and works just like a regular debit card, only allows purchases of products approved in the Zestful Catalog, and only up to balance given by the company (e.g. $100 a month). The Zestful catalog includes services such as Netflix, Spotify, Uber, meal delivery services, gym memberships, travel, and more.

Work Shield is offering an ERISA-qualified, employer harassment prevention plan. The EHP Plan is an employer-funded plan that aims to offer an easy, secure way for an employee to file a complaint, along with an independent third-party to investigate and manage the employer’s harassment policy and procedure, with the goal of enabling faster reporting, investigation and resolution of workplace harassment claims for employers and employees.

Wells Fargo Advisors launched a new service aimed at supporting advisors who want to become Registered Investment Advisors. Its new custody service for fee-only independent Registered Investment Advisors is offered through its subsidiary First Clearing. The service comes with middle-office support from the introducing broker-dealer, TradePMR, which already works with First Clearing.

Voya Financial announced the launch of its new suite of Voya Health Savings and Spending Account solutions as optional benefits for employers to offer their employees at the workplace. The suite of solutions will initially include the following tax-advantaged2 accounts: a Health Savings Account (HSA) to be used in combination with high deductible health plans (HDHPs); a Health Flexible Spending Account (Health FSA); a Limited Purpose FSA; a Dependent Care FSA; and a Commuter Benefit Account.

TriNet announced the release of its latest version of the TriNet Mobile app. The updated app aims to help SMBs streamline HR processes, improve employee engagement and offer real-time access to HR information including benefits coverage and member identification cards from certain medical insurance providers, flexible spending acount overview, detailed pay history, company directory and in-app messaging for team members.

Total Brain announced the launch of over 40 new trainings and videos to help users optimize their brains. The new, exclusive breathing exercises and guided meditations are produced by TLEX Institute and include breathing and brain exercises relating to 12 specific brain capacities. The new content is available to over 600,0000 users via Total Brain’s desktop and mobile apps, and it is part of an overall redesign of the training user experience.

Symetra Life Insurance Company introduced a new addition to its stop loss coverage — Symetra Compliance Solutions, provided by Enquiron. Designed to help employers that self-fund their employee medical plans navigate a dynamic and complex health care landscape, the solution offers any Symetra stop loss policyholder access to a range of complimentary online services, from regulatory updates to on-demand training and tools.

PayScale announced  the rollout of Company Sourced compensation data collected from more than 2 million employees at 1,143 companies. Organizations can now use PayScale’s compensation platform to garner new insights into employee pay by analyzing any combination of PayScale Company Sourced Data, PayScale Crowdsourced Data or external compensation survey data. PayScale’s Company Sourced data set is refreshed quarterly.

OneAmerica unveiled a new website, created in collaboration with Broadridge Advisor Solutions, that offers an online repository of CIT product information. The new online portal aims to provide quick and easy access to these types of information on-demand.

July Business Services has released a small-business retirement plan solution called Launch401k. Launch401k includes  two plan design options created specifically for small businesses, 360 degree and 180 degree payroll integration, fiduciary 3(16) services and a built in 3(38) fiduciary investment lineup managed by Expand Financial. Advisors and their clients can choose from three portfolio manager options, including Dimensional Fund Advisors’ Target Date Series, Stadion’s managed account solution StoryLine, or Tandem Wealth Advisor’s Risk-Based Asset Allocation Portfolios.

Kronos announced enhancements to its next-generation cloud suite, Workforce Dimensions, that streamline operational execution for retail, hospitality, and food service organizations. New Workforce Dimensions features include labor volume forecasting, predictive scheduling, task management, and features that unify HR, workforce management, payroll, and global store operations.

AmWINS Group has launched a new solution designed to protect insureds against social engineering losses while also providing education and risk mitigation services. Losses covered under the solution can include those arising from situations where insureds are fraudulently induced into transferring money or securities in good faith reliance following a telephone, written or electronic instruction – purportedly from a client, vendor or employee. The solution is available in 47 states and Washington, D.C. AmWINS developed the solution in partnership with AXIS Insurance and is offering it exclusively with AXIS.

Aetna announced the launch of Attain, an app designed in collaboration with Apple. Used with an Apple Watch, the Attain app offers Aetna members  personalized goals, daily activity level tracking, recommendations for healthy actions, and rewards for taking action. Reward opportunities include the ability for eligible users to earn their Apple Watch through their participation in the program. Participation requires that Aetna members have an iPhone 5S or later and an Apple Watch Series 1 or later.
