Chances are, if a manager, broker, or advisor has an issue, there’s a technology solution waiting to happen. Here are some of the latest products created for the employee benefits industry:

Wellview Health, a health care engagement company, has launched Wellview Analytics. Wellview Analytics is designed to integrate consumer, clinical and claims data and identify consumers’ health risks and their interest in addressing the risk, and then navigates them to appropriate levels of clinical and/or behavioral care.

TASC, a benefits administrator, announced the launch of its Universal Benefit Account solution. It unifies benefit accounts with one card, one mobile app, one website and one sign in, and aims to simplify personal management of benefit accounts including FSAs and HSAs, educational reimbursement accounts, and workplace giving.

Paychex, a provider in 401(k) recordkeeping services, has released a series of enhancements to both its participant dashboard and advisor portal, designed to simplify the process of enrolling in and managing a 401(k) plan. It also introduced a new feature for plan advisors, Plan Health Report, to help advisors measure plan effectiveness and evaluate plan health.

MassMutual announced a new and expanded investment platform designed for defined benefit (DB) pension plans. Developed with Matrix Financial Solutions, it offers self-service reporting that lets sponsors and advisors generate in-depth reports on trusts, measure investment performance against benchmarks, and create custom reports on individual plans.

Ledger, a securer of crypto assets, offers Ledger Vault, a multi-authorization cryptocurrency wallet management solution. It also announced that it has expanded its U.S. presence to New York City and appointed Demetrios Skalkotos to lead global business unit operations for Ledger Vault, which will be headquartered from the new office.

Glint, an employee engagement company acquired by LinkedIn, announced new manager capabilities designed using Glint’s AI-for-HR and real-time engagement technology. The technology analyzes feedback to deliver specific insights around the strengths, opportunities, and risks of each manager, recommends areas to work on and offers action plans.

EZShield announced capabilities within its Small Business Suite designed to enable SMBs to pinpoint and understand risks, and develop a customized cybersecurity action plan, while identifying the tools required to keep the business safe. The suite also includes credit monitoring management, dark web monitoring, and access to a business restoration service.

Claimify, a disability insurance technology solutions company, announced the launch of Claimify software. Claimify is designed to help insurers and claimants to streamline benefit validation, settlement facilitation, digital documentation, and Social Security disability processing.

Ceridian revealed the latest enhancements to Dayforce, its flagship cloud software: Dayforce Benefits Decision Support, Dayforce Assistant, and Dayforce On-Demand Pay.

Brightfox announced a talent experience platform. It includes an internal communication portal, a learning portal, chat, and employee directory, and the ability to run employee engagement surveys, conduct performance management, offer and receive feedback, celebrate milestones, and encourage employees to communicate. The company also announced a seed-funding round of $1.1 million with participation from corporate investors including Oscar Health.

BenefitMall, a national provider of employee benefits, payroll, HR and employer services, announced Agency Workspace. Agency Workspace offers a home base for BenefitMall’s technology for brokers to support their clients. It includes a support center where brokers can track submitted support cases and live-chat with BenefitMall’s digital support team.

Benefitfocus announced major expansions to its platform, driven by artificial intelligence, which aims to make the consumer (and administrator) benefits experience easier and to connect benefits buyers and sellers in new ways. A learning chat bot offers 24-hour support and can deliver benefits enrollment recommendations. The Benefitfocus Mobile app includes the Benefitfocus Wallet to enable flexible payment options.

AppZen announced it has expanded its AI platform to include the real-time audit of invoices. AI-powered audit capabilities look at invoices and contracts and extract all key pieces of information around pricing terms and service requirements to make sure they are fully enforced upon the submission of an invoice to an accounts payable team.

Accenture and Generali Employee Benefits (GEB) have debuted a blockchain solution designed to let participants in the reinsurance process for captive or pooling services to access the same data and reduce processing errors through smart contracts and automated reconciliation. Blockchain can be thought of as a new type of database system that maintains and records data in a way that allows multiple stakeholders to confidently and securely share access to the same data and information. Transactions and records are stored in a ledger that is distributed among interested parties, creating a level of transparency, security and trust not previously possible.
