The new year accelerates with a bevy of employee benefits solutions announced recently. Here’s what we’ve heard.

Kronos launched the Kronos InTouch DX time clock. Key features include large touchscreen; 3-second or less punch-in/out; supports all major badge and card formats; real-time data access; and more.

Major League Mindset, led by industry veterans Andy Neary and David Saltzman announced that registration for their 90-day online Mastermind has opened. The duo have designed Mastermind with the aim of helping insurance advisors and partners to the industry equip themselves with the tools and techniques they need to craft their best sales year ever.

ConnectYourCare announced that it will offer an integration of its health savings account (HSA) solution into T. Rowe Price Retirement Plan Services Inc.’s retirement plan offering. The product will be available to T. Rowe Price plan sponsor clients who offer a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP). ConnectYourCare will serve as the product administrator and custodian.

Benefitfocus announced the introduction of Health Smart Moments to Benefitfocus Marketplace. Employers will have proactive messaging to employee populations based on integrated health care claims information. Health Smart Moments is designed to help benefits administrators identify a cohort of employees who suffer from a similar chronic disease and provide individual, private messaging to this population about available programs.

Telehealth provider MeMD launched men’s and women’s health services. MeMD’s national network of board-certified, NCQA-credentialed physicians treat a variety of common concerns, including sexual health issues. The company also provides care for issues affecting the health and self-confidence of men and women alike, including hair loss, skin conditions, sexually transmitted diseases and smoking cessation.

ConsumerOptix has built a sales and enrollment platform that matches insurance offerings to an individual’s personality, attitudes, values, and lifestyle. Carriers, brokers, agents, wholesalers, and advisers can utilize the company’s Accelerate and eBenefitsIQ products to drive sales and enrollment in the group insurance, individual insurance and online insurance environments.

MetLife announced that it is expanding its range of voluntary benefits offerings in the U.S. to include Health Savings & Spending Accounts. This suite of products will initially include Health Savings Account (HSA), Health Flexible Spending Account (Health FSA), Limited Purpose FSA, Dependent Care FSA and Commuter Benefits.

The Global Insurance Symposium announced that registration and sponsorship opportunities for the 2020 event are officially open to the public. The annual symposium provides a venue for the insurance industry to address important issues impacting the marketplace with a primary focus on technology, policy, and innovation. it will be in Des Moines, Iowa on April 21-23.

CuraLinc Healthcare announced the launch of Emotional Fitness Coaching, a message-based therapy application that is embedded within the organization’s employee assistance (EAP) and student assistance program models – and also available as a stand-alone point solution. Through a secure desktop and mobile platform, licensed counselors (also known as ‘Coaches’) help participants boost emotional fitness and wellbeing through an exchange of text messages, voicenotes, tip sheets, resource links and videos.

Maestro Health is introducing a price-to-cost comparison transparency tool for health insurance brokers and employers, which helps them to better understand how their hospital bills compare to how much it actually costs the hospital to deliver care. The new RBP Insights Tool references Medicare prices to unveil the enormous delta between what consumers and their employers are paying for health care versus what they could be paying.
