News of employee benefits partnerships, promotions, acquisitions, new hires, and awardwinners. Here’s what has recently crossed our desk.

Sterling Administration, an administrator of HSA, HRA, FSA, POP, ERISA and, COBRA, announced that Jeff Strong has been named Vice President of Sales effective immediately. Jeff has been with Sterling Administration for the past eight years, in a variety of roles. In his most recent role as Director of Sales, he worked closely with brokers to build relationships and develop opportunities.

Salary Finance announced the appointment of Anita Ward to Chief Development Officer to lead the US expansion of the business. Ward joins Salary Finance after serving as President and Chief Transformation Officer of global non-profit Operation HOPE.

NFL Alumni (NFLA) announced a partnership with AnnieMac Home Mortgage. AnnieMac will offer members discounted mortgage origination services as well as assist members with job placement for qualifying alumni interested in pursuing or advancing a current career in the mortgage industry. In addition, Debt Free Living LLC will assist with debt to income management, Get Credit Healthy LLC will assist with credit repair and preparation, Finlocker LLC will provide technology, and Keller Williams will provide a national concierge service for housing needs.

HealthSavings Administrators, a health savings account (HSA) provider, announced the appointment of Britt Trumbower as senior vice president of sales. Trumbower brings extensive knowledge of private and public sector benefits initiatives and CDHPs to his new role at HealthSavings. Prior to joining HealthSavings, Trumbower served as a regional sales director at HealthEquity, where he established and grew HSA adoption with brokers, partners and large employers in the New York region.

GAMA International named Earl Luttner as its 2020 Hall of Fame recipient. Luttner is CEO and Chairman of Lifetime Financial Growth, LLC, an agency of Guardian Life. The award will be presented at LAMP ’20 in Orlando, FL on March 23, 2020. Nominees were evaluated in four categories: 1) Advancing the art and science of agency/firm building; 2)  Advancing the mission and work of the financial services industry; 3)  Enhancing the quality of public and private life; and 4) Promoting professional education in the financial services industry.

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Kronos Incorporated have joined forces to provide dedicated oncology care navigation services via a new benefit for Kronos employees and their beneficiaries. The Dana-Farber Direct Connect program provides patient navigation assistance, specialized clinical care, and a multi-disciplinary approach to care.

The Board of Directors of the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. announced two new members: Roberta S. Karmel, a leading authority on securities regulation, and Alexander G. Rozman, a global expert in risk and compliance. Terms for Karmel and Rozman run through December 2023. They join 14 other members and CFP Board CEO Kevin R. Keller, CAE, on the Board of Directors.

CareerBuilder announced that background screening provider Accurate Background has signed a definitive agreement to acquire CareerBuilder Employment Screening (CBES). Through a strategic partnership agreement, CareerBuilder will continue to offer background screening solutions as part of their Hello to Hire model to clients while shifting investment efforts toward innovations in talent discovery and acquisition.

Boost Insurance announced a $14 million Series A round of financing to expand its infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) platform. The investment brings Boost’s total funding to $17 million and will be used to launch new business lines and expand its API services.

Babyscripts, a virtual care company for managing obstetrics, and Amerigroup D.C., a Medicaid managed care organization, have partnered to deliver pregnancy care solutions to George Washington University Hospital, Community of Hope and other local D.C. area regional hospitals. The partnership aims to increase access to care for pregnant mothers, delivering remote monitoring and virtual care through Babyscripts’ mobile and web-based solution.

The Adecco Group, an HR solutions company, announced Chris Gallagher has been promoted to President of Professional Solutions in the U.S. Gallagher’s new role is part of the Adecco Group’s newly formed U.S. Professional Solutions and Recruitment unit, which joined together its professional services brands, including Accounting Principals, Ajilon, Paladin, Parker + Lynch, Special Counsel, SCI, D4 and EQ, under the leadership of Laurie Chamberlin, the President and head of this portfolio.
