Although we’ve seen a flood of new products on the HR, insurance, and health side of employee benefits, we hadn’t seen as many new financial and retirement advising products. But recently that has changed, and more products from the financial side are appearing.

Voya Financial announced its employee benefits business has expanded its suite of supplemental insurance products to include hospital indemnity insurance and short-term disability income insurance.

Timelineapp announced Livetrack. Livetrack aims to help financial planners and their clients visualize how a retirement journey might evolve over time. It offers ongoing assessment of sustainable withdrawal, suitability and success rate; automated portfolio tracking against the client’s stated goals; actionable alerts.

Sustainalytics launched Sustainalytics’ ESG Data. Its ESG Management Indicators assess a company’s ESG-related programs; Corporate Governance Indicators evaluate the extent to which it can execute ESG strategy; ESG Event Indicators gauge the frequency of its involvement in ESG-related operational or supply chain controversies.

Sharecare and MindSciences announced a partnership to integrate MindSciences’ tobacco cessation program into Sharecare’s digital health platform. Craving to Quit by Dr. Jud, developed by neuroscientist and addiction psychiatrist, Dr. Jud Brewer, includes mindfulness-based training, in-app coaching; engagement tracker.

Redington announced the onboarding of Ford Motor Company to its ADA technology platform. Both organizations collaborated on an analytics and scoring system for side-by-side comparison of the value of pension provision across defined benefit and defined contribution schemes.  

Randstad RiseSmart announced the launch of Randstad RiseSmart University (RSU), a training, development and certification platform. It provides certification, specialty training for coaches, professional branding courses for military-to-civilian resumes and more.

Lark Health announced the continuation of a contract with HealthPartners after a pilot period. HealthPartners provides a range of services to members who have diabetes. Lark’s Diabetes Management Program adds to this suite of services, offering personal guidance.

Indyfin has launched. It generates opportunities from various Internet sources, then pre-screens and connects with each prospective client. Indyfin matches the incoming leads to the advisor best suited to service that prospective client and connects that person with the advisor.

IDShield announced a service enhancement aimed to protect members from unauthorized electronic fund transfers from their employer-sponsored 401(k), retirement, and health savings accounts. The new service started January 1st and is included in all current and future plans.

FinFit announced that it will make early wage access available to employees at no charge. WageNow, its early wage access service, is included in FinFit’s suite of financial wellness tools and resources.

Earnest, a subsidiary of Navient, announced it will partner with retirement plan advisor aggregator GRP Advisors Alliance (GRPAA) to provide refinancing options and resources for financial advisors as part of its aim to make more people aware of student loan debt refinancing.

Commure has launched. Commure offers APIs and SDKs for developing, distributing and deploying software for the health care community. It also launched its first public-facing product: the Commure developer portal.

Cartus Corporation announced MobilifySM, a tool to aid in recruiting and moving employees. Cartus is part of Realogy Holdings Corp., a provider of real estate brokerage, relocation and settlement services. The tool lets employees see their entire relocation budget distribution—including a guaranteed van line move—and relevant contact information.

CareerBuilder launched SocialReferral, a tool within its Talent Acquisition Suite that lets companies create branded social networks where employees can create and share content and job postings to internal audiences and their external personal networks. It is also releasing new features to its Talent Discovery Platform.

Boost Insurance announced the rollout of several new data-driven products that will be offered through distribution partners in 2020. They include a commercial insurance option for venture-backed startups; financial coverage for employers offering parental leave; subscription and standalone pet insurance, and identify theft protection.

Betterworks announced it has acquired Hyphen, a continuous employee listening and engagement platform. Betterworks will integrate Hyphen’s survey, polling and recommendation capabilities into its enterprise offering as Betterworks Engage to offer the ability to continuously listen to employees from pre-hire to retire.
