What’s the good news, ladies? March Madness

I’d like to introduce you to some real power houses. Please meet Allison, Cailtin and Wendy.

I know I say it every year, but I LOVE this month!  And I’m getting really excited to head to Austin to attend the BenefitsPRO Broker Expo annual conference.  If you happen to be there, make sure you come check out the 2nd annual Fast & Furious session. It will be incredible and a session you do not want to miss!  This is one of the conferences I look forward to most and I always get to meet a lot of incredible ladies to feature right here!

Without further ado, I’d like to introduce you to some real power houses. Please meet  Allison, Cailtin and Wendy.  These three women are crushing it in our industry through their intentional actions, going against the status quote and mentoring along the way!

Allison Butler, Butler Benefits & Consulting

“My theme for 2019 was “be intentional.” I wanted my actions in my professional and personal life to have purpose. Professionally, I wanted to intentionally focus on development and leadership. Throughout 2019, I read approximately 20 business books. I learned many things, like how to improve workflows and agency processes and recognized that I had room for some meaningful improvements. Being a more assertive leader was one of the areas in which I knew I could improve. I continue to focus and grow in this area.  I look forward to 2020 with a theme of “efficiency”!”

Caitlin Hodge, HJ Spier Co., Inc

“In my five years as an adviser in the benefits industry, I have earned a reputation as anindustry disruptor.  It has been my goal to improve benefits for employees and their families by talking to employers about transparency, lack of providers, and cost disparities within the health care system.

By having these conversations, I have clients who have been able to introduce plans with zero deductibles, decreased premiums for employees and families, free health care services, no-cost specialty medications and more, by implementing new techniques to their health plans that have proven to lower costs.

I have spoken at several Industry events to share my strategies with other advisers in hopes of helping to inspire more disruptors.

Our current health care system is old and broken, and I am proud to be a young adviser bringing good health benefits back to employees and their families.”

Wendy Keneipp, Partner & Coach, Q4intelligence

“Most of my career has been focused on helping and empowering people and organizations. Regardless of the roles I’ve held over the years, be it support, leadership, or coaching, my goal has always been to help people consistently move forward. And it feels fantastic to get notes from people wanting to share their successes along the way. I love this! It encourages me to continue doing the coaching and mentoring I do.

This past year has been particularly satisfying, as I’ve selected three amazing women to help build our team. They are lighting things up with their spirit, enthusiasm, insight, and willingness to learn, be coached, and challenge one another. Every day, I see the team grow stronger and feed off one another to continuously up our game. It inspires me and also makes me feel incredibly proud to make a difference for people in such a meaningful way.”

Good luck to everyone during this March Madness season and I hope you close out the 1st Quarter with a bang!  As always, if you know of great women in the field who are working hard to make this this industry even better, send me an email introduction at scombs@combsandco.com. I’d love to connect!  Also, if you plan to attend the BenefitsPRO Broker Expo in Austin coming up in May, I’d be happy to meet up!  Lastly….wash your hands! : )
