As the expenses associated with providing employee health benefits continue to weigh on the minds of employers, many look to gain more control of their benefits options and costs. This often leads to the consideration of self-funding their benefit plans. However, smaller, less well-capitalized groups may not feel as comfortable as larger employers directly making the move from a fully insured program to a self-funded plan. That's where level funding comes in as an alternative. The first challenge, though, is truly understanding what the level-funded option entails.

Join this complimentary webcast to learn the risks and rewards of implementing a level-funded program. Brokers and employers alike can benefit from the knowledge shared by two actuaries who are well-versed in the nuances of the small group market and its coverage options. You will:

  • Gain an awareness of what level funding is and the variations that exist for this type of benefit plan

  • Find out which types of groups would be good candidates for a level-funded plan

  • Understand how several types of level-funded arrangements are underwritten and learn what a group can expect when obtaining coverage
