Many employee benefits and retirement industry companies are providing services or solutions aimed at helping people get through the coronavirus pandemic lockdowns and into back-to-work initiatives. Here is a sampling of what we’ve seen.

Scripta has released a free Drug Substitution Search tool. Scripta Insights is a healthcare IT solution and employee benefit that normally uses its proprietary technology to help members find savings on their prescription drugs and  is typically offered only as a member benefit through health plans. During this critical time, Scripta is using this technology to help people find alternatives to prescription medications that might be out of stock. The tool is available for employers to share with their employees amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Paycor announced a new Return to Work Toolkit that includes a comprehensive checklist with the most important to-do’s, from covering federal, state and local laws to social distancing guidelines and facilities cleaning and sanitation. Also included are free downloadable templates and actionable insights to remain compliant and keep employees healthy & safe.

Ozark River Manufacturing announced The Ozark River Portable Sinks, built in Murfreesboro, Tenn. Prior to the outbreak, Ozark typically built portable sinks for daycares and schools. As businesses started looking for safe ways to reopen after closure due to the coronavirus pandemic, the company has begun producing them for a variety of customers. Easily made on their manufacturing line, the portable sink is different from others as it can just be plugged into a wall. The units use hot water through an on-demand system.

LabCorp announced it is launching a new return to work service for employers. LabCorp Employer Services provides customized return to work solutions using LabCorp’s trained medical staff for employee check-in health questionnaires, temperature screens, and COVID-19 test collection at the employer site or offsite. The service gives employers access to LabCorp’s COVID-19 testing solutions including its at-home collection test kit, its new fingerstick antibody blood test, and in the fall, flu vaccination services.

Fulcrum Health announced it has teamed up with health plan clients to deliver chiropractic telehealth services for their members. The chiropractic telehealth program aims to enable providers to support health plan members by consulting with the member about their current condition and potential treatment needs; educating and reassuring patients who are experiencing severe pain and offering appropriate at-home care advice; providing active care instructions for achieving personal health goals; offering home instruction on daily living activities, such as how to achieve an ergonomically safe remote workstation.

The Conference Board has developed a planning tool that features three essential checklists. Each focuses on a different phase in the reset and recovery timeline: Assessment, Preparation, and Return.The planner and accompanying report are free to the public and can be used by both US and international Human Resource teams.

Cleo announced a partnership with UrbanSitter to launch a new solution designed to address the lack of support and childcare available to working families as businesses transition to getting parents back to work. Designed to support families looking for affordable and safe solutions to fill the void made by closures of schools, summer camps, and daycares in the next 3 months, as well as employers looking to support working parents, Cleo Care offers concierge support for vetted, personalized caregiver matching; co-op matching for families interested in partnering with a like-minded, local family; weekly programs and 1:1 care provider support.
