From partnerships to new hires, to acquisitions and awards, the employee benefits industry has been busy this fall. Here are a few of the latest announcements to keep you updated.
Wink, Inc. announced Victoria L. Grossman has been named the President of Wink, Inc. Sheryl J. Moore, who has been CEO and President of Wink since she founded the company 16 years ago, will continue in her role as chairwoman and CEO, focusing on strategy and business development. Grossman’s insurance career began as the first employee hired at Wink, gaining an intimate knowledge of products, sales, distribution, and markets as Wink’s first Marketing & Database Administrator. She has 14 years with the company, most recently serving as the Vice President of Operations.
VSP Vision Care announced it was part of a Workpartners study on reducing waste in health benefits. The study found that VSP members incur fewer healthcare costs linked to chronic conditions like diabetes and hypertension when compared to members of other vision plans nationwide, suggesting that VSP eye doctors may play a critical role in identifying chronic conditions.The study was based on Workpartners’ proprietary research reference database of more than 4.3 million active employees and their dependents.
TailorMed announced new additions to its leadership team:
- Naama Geva was appointed Chief Financial Officer. Geva previously served as CFO at Deep Instinct, a global cyber security company.
- Vince King was appointed Chief Commercial Officer. King previously served as Chief Commercial Officer for SCI Solutions, acquired by R1 RCM.
- Noa Inbar-Hershkovits was appointed Vice President of People. Inbar-Hershkovits brings 15 years of global HR experience in various HR leadership roles, most recently at Amazon and AlgoSec.
Nelu Diversified Consulting Solutions announced its expansion into the United Kingdom. “Our business model has evolved in a manner that allows us to serve both benefit plan sponsors and service providers, globally. We do not administer benefits, and our focus is on DE&I as a component of ESG standards, so we have found our sweet spot in the global market,” said Nelu co-founder and CEO, Uche Enemchukwu.
Gravie has been named to the Inc. 2021 Best in Business list in the insurance category, at the gold medal level. Inc.’s Best in Business Awards honors 147 companies that have gone above and beyond to make a positive impact. The award recognizes small- and medium-size privately held American businesses that have had an outstanding influence on their communities, their industries, the environment, or society as a whole.
Carillon Tower Advisers announced that it has promoted Joy Facos to Head of Sustainable Investing and Corporate Responsibility. Facos will oversee the firm’s ongoing efforts to integrate ESG principles and corporate engagement to meet the needs of clients and will lead the firm’s Stewardship Committee and ESG data working group. Facos joined Carillon in August 2020 as Head of Responsible Investing. Most recently, she was a Principal at ESG Research Associates.
Babyscripts announced a partnership with Health New England, a not-for-profit health plan serving members in Massachusetts and parts of Connecticut, to deliver pregnancy care solutions to all members regardless of socioeconomic status. Health New England’s pregnant members will have access to the Babyscripts Virtual Maternity Care application.
The American Sustainable Business Council and Social Venture Circle announced the finalization of their merger following a year-long strategic alliance. The new organization will be known as the American Sustainable Business Network (ASBN, a 501 C3).
