Despite a chaotic year, the employee benefits and insurance industry remained busy. Here are a few of the recent new hires, promotions, retirements, and M&As.

T. Rowe Price announced that Chrystal Williams will lead its Global Distribution Digital Solutions group. Williams has more than 30 years of experience in financial services. She joins T. Rowe Price from Arbi Solutions, a consulting business she established in 2018. Previously, Williams spent more than 20 years at Invesco.

RecoveryOne announced the appointment of three senior leaders from SWORD Health, MDLIVE and Rally Health:

PenChecks Trust and the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries announced the expansion of their scholarship program for retirement industry professionals. It now includes scholarships to earn Qualified 401(K) Consultant (QKC), Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) and Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) certification as well as the QKA. The scholarships cover exam registration fees, related exam publications, and the recipient’s first year of ASPPA membership dues. Award recipients have been selected for this year’s scholarships, following a rigorous evaluation process:

Morningstar will acquire financial technology company Praemium Limited’s operations in the United Kingdom, Jersey, Hong Kong, and Dubai. Completion of the Transaction remains subject to regulatory approval. Morningstar and Praemium expect to complete the transaction during Q2 or Q3 2022.

Liberty Mutual  announced Damon Hart has been named Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer, effective Jan. 1, 2022. Hart will replace the company’s current Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer Jim Kelleher, who retires at the end of 2021. Previously, Hart was Liberty Mutual’s Deputy Chief Legal Officer in 2020 and prior to this, served as its Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel. He is a founding member of The New Commonwealth Racial Equity and Social Justice Fund – a coalition of Black and Brown executives in Massachusetts working to address and eliminate systemic racism and racial inequity.

Human Interest announced it has appointed Abhi Mishra as chief technology officer. Mishra joins the company from Amazon, where his organization built personalized shopping experiences for Amazon’s ecommerce customers. He also previously served as a General Manager in AWS, Amazon’s cloud division.

BNY Mellon Wealth Management named Huma Mohiuddin as market president, Pittsburgh, to lead the region’s wealth management practice. She joined BNY Mellon Wealth Management in 2015 and has served as senior director wealth manager, team leader, and in regional director roles. Prior to joining the firm, she was a vice president of investments at J.P. Morgan.
