Marty Traynor, Consultant.

Marty is retired Senior Vice President – Voluntary Benefits at Mutual of Omaha. Marty has worked in the insurance/employee benefits industry for over 50 years. His responsibilities have covered product and service development, voluntary benefit strategy, marketing, enrollment methods, and underwriting. He is a member of the Worksite Marketing Hall of Fame. He has written a monthly column for benefitsPRO for over 15 years. Marty serves on the Advisory Board for LeMoyne College’s McNeil Academy of Risk Management & Insurance.

 

 

Chelsea Whalley, COO, partner, J Donovan Financial.

Originally from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Chelsea came to the United States in 2009 on an NCAA DI Softball Scholarship and never left! After working as a corporate fundraiser for non-profits, she started her insurance career with Colonial Life as one of the youngest District General Agents in the country. She expanded into core benefits when she became partner and COO at J Donovan Financial in 2017.

At J Donovan Financial, Chelsea has been designing multi-year healthcare strategies for her clients across the nation. She specializes in taking groups from the carrier model to a self-funded program. In 2020, she was named a Rising Star by EBA and Face of Change by Benefits Pro. In 2021, she spoke at the Benefits Pro Expo on the truth behind transparency benefit strategies and this coming May, she will be on stage again regarding data driven decision making in benefits.

Ryan Mumma brings more than 6 years of industry knowledge to his role as a Benefits Account Executive at IDX. Ryan’s expertise is reflected in his in-depth experience working closely with brokers and HR professionals on their identity and privacy protection benefits. He helps partners and clients develop unique strategies to better align with their business goals. Ryan holds a BS in Business Management from University of Arizona.
