I was recently reminded of a story my daughter shared when she was in grad school. 

She was living in downtown Chicago, and was out for a walk one evening. When a man came around the blind corner of a building, she screamed and dropped to the ground. 

I asked, "Grace, what was THAT all about?! Why did you scream? Why did you drop to the ground?"
