February is a month of reflection and momentum — a time to take stock of what’s been accomplished and set the tone for what’s ahead. It’s about honoring the work, the lessons, and the grit it took to get here, while keeping an eye on the next challenge. For these three women, this month marks a celebration of growth, impact, and the kind of perseverance that turns obstacles into stepping stones.

Angela spent the past year deepening her roots — expanding her leadership, growing her business, and being recognized for the impact she’s making in her community. Cyan found clarity and reignited her passion, leaning into meaningful work that’s driving real change while mentoring the next generation. Cassandra is celebrating 20 years in business — a milestone built on experience, adaptability, and the courage to keep evolving. Different paths, same mindset: Keep pushing forward, keep making an impact, and never settle for anything less than what’s possible.

“This past year has been filled with milestones and meaningful contributions. I’ve had the privilege of serving as Secretary for both the DeSoto County Business Women and the Southaven Rotary Executive Boards, while celebrating two years in business. A major highlight was opening my brick-and-mortar office — a step that solidified my commitment to growth and community impact.

That dedication was honored with multiple awards, including Southaven Chamber’s Woman of the Year, Ambassador of the Year, and Small Business of the Year, as well as Horn Lake Chamber’s Ambassador of the Year and Business on the Move. This journey has been both rewarding and humbling, and I can’t wait to see what’s next!”

“This year has been one of growth and rediscovery. After stepping away from two companies to find the right fit, I’ve learned that every challenge builds strength — strength in resilience, fresh starts, and trusting the process. Now at Rover, I’ve reignited my passion for fixing our broken health care system. By streamlining processes, I help advisors optimize self-funded groups, driving real change toward better health care.

Amidst it all, my greatest joy has been mentoring my 11-year-old daughter and her team in designing a Future City. While they didn’t take home the win, they gained something even more valuable: grit, determination, and the confidence to keep pushing forward. The same lessons have shaped my own journey, leading me to this exciting new chapter in my career.”

“This year marks 20 years in business, a milestone that feels both surreal and incredibly rewarding. I’ve had the privilege of serving 250+ clients across 65+ industries, tackling 100+ projects annually in recent years, and benchmarking over 3,200 jobs in just the last three years.

Despite last year being a soft one for consulting, I focused on strengthening operations, bringing all technical support under one umbrella, and expanding how we share knowledge by introducing video content in newsletters and on YouTube with insights on compensation. I also launched a customer survey and was thrilled to see a Net Promoter Score of 100.

But the biggest leap? Starting a second company designed to help corporate compensation professionals build their own independent consulting businesses with a turnkey solution.”

This month is about celebrating the work that’s been done while gearing up for what’s ahead. Angela, Cyan, and Cassandra embody what it means to lead with purpose, adapt to change, and push forward no matter the challenge. Their stories are a testament to resilience, growth, and the kind of impact that comes from staying committed to the bigger picture.
