As spring ushers in a season of renewal, three remarkable women reflect on a year marked by growth, grit and grounded purpose. Whether navigating the personal joy of a family milestone, stepping into uncharted professional territory, or reshaping a company culture from the inside out, each woman leaned into change with courage and intention. What unites their journeys is a shared commitment to pushing past comfort zones — balancing ambition with authenticity, leadership with heart, and progress with perspective.

Dina, Rebecca, and Kristin each offer a glimpse into the moments that shaped them over the past year — and I’m honored to share their stories here. As someone who believes deeply in the power of reflection and reinvention, their experiences resonate with me personally. I hope their words inspire you to pause, take stock and boldly step into your own next chapter.

“This year, I had the joy of celebrating my eldest daughter’s wedding — a beautiful reminder of the importance of family and the value of nurturing meaningful relationships. With a renewed focus on both, I’ve continued to channel my passion into educating clients — especially women — on how to safeguard their retirement from the financial and emotional toll that long-term care events can have on a family. Through my ongoing partnership with the local Alzheimer’s Association, I’ve been honored to help raise awareness and provide vital support to caregivers. Earning my Certified in Long-Term Care (CLTC) designation this year further deepened my commitment and expertise as a long-term care specialist.”

“One of my proudest accomplishments this past year was leading a cultural transformation within my company. As with many start-ups, we’ve experienced our share of highs and lows, and I saw an opportunity to build a work environment resilient enough to navigate those challenges while keeping our team motivated and engaged. I focused on fostering a culture that strikes a balance between accountability and support — one that encourages growth while ensuring every team member feels valued and inspired. Above all, I set out to create a workplace where people genuinely look forward to showing up each day.”

“Over the past year, in response to unpredictable business shifts, I fearlessly stepped outside my Medicare Advantage expertise to lead the successful launch of a new employer group benefits division for our company. Operating outside my comfort zone pushed me to grow, and I’m proud of the opportunity to become a more well-rounded, strategic benefits professional. On the personal side, I also carved out time to write my second children’s book, "Shine Bright, June Bug," continuing to nurture my love for storytelling and creativity. The last year has been one of bold pivots and meaningful growth. Professionally, I embraced challenge and change. Personally, I stayed connected to what inspires me. I'm walking into the next chapter with fresh skills, renewed purpose and a deep appreciation for what’s possible when we stretch.”

These reflections are a powerful reminder that growth rarely happens without discomfort — and that the most meaningful progress often comes when we embrace the unfamiliar with purpose and heart. I’m continually inspired by the women in our industry who show up with grit, grace, and generosity, and I’d love to hear your story too.
